Book signing at the local family non-profit

After spending half the school year creating a book in the Make-a-Book Project, I love to see how the project continues to grow and spread into the community. We’ve seen the school photo make the local newspaper, butterfly gardens blossoming, students taking up their own writing projects, and much more.

Here, the student illustrators participate in their second book signing at a local family non-profit organization, Happen Inc. They each sign their page in the book. At the previous celebration at the school, there were hundreds of people lined up for autographs.

Leading up to the book signing, families participated in butterfly-related activities, like decorating their handprints as butterflies.
Feel Your Feelings story time snacks
As always, Happen Inc provides snacks for the families. Not everyone gets three meals a day.
