Making dreams come true
We’re dedicated to teaching kids how to dream, how to turn dreams into reality, and how to have fun doing it by using our formula: Dream it! Map it! Play it! We use traditional pencil-and-paper games and evidence-based process that teach important concepts, and put them into action right away — because we all know that kids learn by doing — playing! In other words, we developed a measurable way for people to develop curiosity, hope and inspiration in their own lives, and then focus those emotions into a new dream and a new reality. (More about our Dream Theory.)
Our founders are Sara E. Williams, PhD, a licensed clinical child psychologist, and Scott Stoll, whose claim to fame is riding a bicycle around the world and being a Cultural Ambassador for the U.S. Dept. of State. (More about Sara and Scott.) Sara and Scott — or, as they like to say, the psychologist and the cyclogist — make the perfect dream team.
Of course, they couldn’t have done it by themselves. They owe their thanks to literally thousands of people: a dozen psychologists who vet our projects, the team of experts at Magination Press, and everyone who participated in our evidence-based research projects like the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Public Schools teachers, parents and students, and many more people who wish to remain behind the scenes.
BIG NEWS!!! And, recently, after our research paper was published in the peer-reviewed journal, Child & Youth Care Forum, we are honored to become members of theSEL Provider’s Council. (More info about what we do below.)
We are proud to partner with the following organizations
SEL Provider’s Council
We’re proud to be accepted as part of the Social-Emotional Learning Provider’s Council which is part of the Social-Emotional Providers Association. It’s a small group of professionals with evidence-based resources that team up to bring learning, leadership and action. It’s overseen by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Thanks!
Cincinnati Public Schools
Our book Dream It! and the SEL curriculum was born in theCincinnati Public School system. And, now remain a part of their SEL-recommended programming. We owe thanks to practically everyone from students and parents to the teachers and principals to the superintendent and school board. Read our story on the CPS blog.

Our publisher
Magination Press is the children’s book imprint of the American Psychological Association. Through our publishing, we share with the world mental health expertise and psychological knowledge. Our books reach young readers and their parents and caregivers to make navigating life’s challenges a little easier. It’s the combined power of psychology and literature that makes our books special.

Dream research
We’ve conducted over 2 years of social-emotional research in the area of dreams (life goals). Children using the workbook “Dream it!” have a significant increase in optimistic thinking and perseverance (grit), plus improvements in hope, growth mindset and more. That means a scientifically proven, evidence-based improvement!

Great classroom reading!
“Dream It!” has been selected by Reading Is Fundamental as part of their Social-Emotional Learning Collection. RIF provides even more games and activities.
